PUG Cymbals is a one man operation so sometimes there are unexpected delays due to family / outside commitments. I always endeavour to keep custom orders / shipping on time however sometimes unexpected delays can occur.

All PUG Cymbals are handmade from high quality blanks sourced predominately from Turkey. Sometimes imperfections in material can be expected, however you can rest assured that all cymbals are thoroughly checked before being sent out.

All cymbal demonstrations are made using Vic Firth 7A wood tip sticks as I find that they give the most accurate representation of cymbals. If you are interested to find out more about how stick choice influences cymbal sound check out the video in the link below.

All videos are raw logic files recorded through a pair of Oktava MK - 012's / Focusrite Clarett interface. There is also a tiny amount of SM57 on the snare / Beyer M88 on the kick drum but only for a little reinforcement, they are barely on!

In regards to my technique I play with a relaxed right hand, my fulcrum is between the index and middle fingers and I hold the sticks right at the back so they drop into the cymbals / drums and initiate the full sound from the instrument. This is the way I like to play and I think it also gives a clear representation of the cymbal sound as I'm allowing the cymbal to open up so you get to hear the full spread of frequencies in each individual cymbal. As a customer this means you get to really hear the fundamental / spread without adding too much stick sound which can be confusing.
